This magazine features the work of Writing Program students and represents both the quality and variety of writing produced in its undergraduate studios. It is the mission of this publication to further the primary goal of the program, to produce critically engaged writers within the academic community.
Intertext refers to the interconnectedness of all text. It is the hope of the editors that the essays published will speak both to the readers as well as to one another.
Intertext is published annually. All published authors will additionally be considered for the Louise Wetherbee Phelps Writing Awards, to be announced each spring. The award includes a prize of $50. All submissions of work originally produced for a Writing Program undergraduate class will be given serious consideration for publication. Submissions must include the writers telephone number and email address. If a return is desired, the submission must be accompanied by a SASE with appropriate postage. Submissions should be placed in the Drop Box in HBC 239, and clearly labeled Intertext Submission. Copyright reverts to the author. This magazine is also published on the World Wide Web at: http://wrt-intertext.syr.edu
